Got the JerkStopper JS021 for my Canon 5D MKIII, a real life saver and no more ugly gaffer tape.

Thanks, Richard     http://www.richardgrassie.com

By far the most common cause of damage to laptop power ports that I have seen is that of having had too much pressure placed on the power port at an angle by someone (child, large dog...) tripping on the power cord or yanking it out at an angle. I've even seen a laptop which had the AC adapter attached with hot glue because the power port only worked when pressure was applied on the plug at a certain angle.

It seems to me that having a JerkStopper retention device in place would prevent the extreme damage likely to incur to power ports by having the cord yanked. Although it would not help if the laptop were yanked off a surface and landed on the floor, it would not add to the problem in cases where laptops actually landed on the power port with the AC adapter plugged in. I've seen more laptops with broken power ports than with damage from having been yanked to the floor.

I highly recommend the JerkStopper to any laptop owner because I feel the cost of the retention device by far outweighs the potential cost of replacing the power port, if it can even BE replaced without swapping out the motherboard.

The Jerkstopper JS021 is the perfect way to shoot tethered without worrying every second about tripping over your cables.  I'd recommend it to anyone that shoots tethered.  Goes with me to every shoot I do!  Customer service is great as well!  Two thumbs up!  Love your product!

Just wanted to let you know... I was using my JerkStopper the other day with my Canon and stepped on the cord twice. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and held the cord fast. Saved me a lot of trouble. Glad I bought it.

I am a freelance photographer and I shoot tethered whenever possible, I found that the cord would constantly get pulled out of the camera and I as wasting time having to go restart the software when my cord pulled out of the camera.  I recently purchased the JS009 and it has completely solved the problem!  I now confidently carry my camera around the studio and no more worrying.

"This is a great product for anyone that cares about protecting their laptop.  A great little accessory!!  Well worth it for such a small investment."  --- Giovanni (John) Di Giacomo,  Toronto

"The JerkStopper is a simple, but brilliant, idea (the best kind).  It's a mystery why anyone would own a laptop without one." --- Carl Diamond, Diamond Website Conversion  http://www.diamondwebsiteconversion.com/

I'm surprised that everybody that sees the Jerkstopper doesn't order a truck load of them.  Mine for my camera, has seen a lot of use.  I was shooting with a cable release the other day and a tripod when I accidentally gave it a hard enough hit that it started falling over and all I had in my hand was the release and I pulled it tight and the Jerkstopper prevented it from popping out of the plug and the camera from falling on over, potentially cracking the glass or other costly parts.  My friend, photographing right beside me, inquired how the release held in the camera and I showed him the JerkStopper. His reply was worth noting, after I showed it to him "You always get all the cool stuff."        Beaver Randolf Photography. Meridian,Texas
